We want to assure you we are Hendra Virus Free!

Our horses are happy and healthy.

There has recently been a documented outbreak of the Hendra virus in the news regarding PEGASUS FARM.  We want to assure our clients that all of our horses are virus-free and that Pegasus Park Equestrian Centre is not assosciated with PEGASUS FARM, in fact we are two different organisations.

 

What is the Hendra Virus?

Hendra virus can cause disease in horses but only rarely in humans. It can be transmitted from flying fox to horse, horse to horse, and horse to human.

Precautions...

We will not be taking on any Bring-Your-Own-Horse lessons until given the all-clear.

In an effort to keep our healthy stock of horses free from catching the virus we will not be accepting any Bring-Your-Own-Horse style rides, lessons or overnight accommodation. We will still be running bush rides, trial rides, beach rides, lessons and accommodation, however we must insist that we do so on our own horses.
